The Moral Uprising
– Site-specific video installation at morality forum
Our traditional moral frameworks of religion and family are declining. Institutions, brands and consumers are now re-evaluating technological innovation and the need for a moral code fit for a digital era.
The work was installed at the entrance to the Southbank Centre as delegates arrived for The Moral Uprising futures summit. The film subtly introduces the ‘grey areas’ that will be discussed during the day, with a soundtrack and visuals that suggest the inner workings of a machine that appears erratic. The film was part of an overarching creative approach, where moral conundrums were put to public vote.
